No, SOC is an independent tech learning initiative focused on hands-on, industry-relevant training. However, we collaborate with industry partners and education hubs like EduCity Iskandar Malaysia.

The School of Codes is a next-generation learning hub focused on delivering real-world, future-ready tech education. Through hands-on bootcamps, courses, and immersive experiences—both online and on-site—we help individuals build practical skills in today’s most in-demand areas of technology.

SOC emphasizes real-world application over rote learning. Our programs are intensive, industry-aligned, and outcome-driven. With mentorship from experienced professionals, hands-on projects, and pathways like the Industry Immersion Program (IIP), learners graduate not just with knowledge—but with confidence and experience that stands out.

Anyone aged 12 and above can apply, provided they meet the program’s minimum requirements.

Yes. Applicants should:
Have a good command of English (recommended minimum CEFR level B2 or equivalent).
Equivalent standards include:
MUET: Band score of 4.0–5.0.
IELTS: Score of 5.5–6.5.
TOEFL: Score of 72–94 out of 120.


However, it is not strictly necessary to have achieved these scores. A good command of English proficiency may also be verified via a quick online interview or a submitted recorded video.


Applicants should also:
Understand basic computer functions and common software tools.
Complete a short questionnaire and English proficiency test during the application process.
Familiarity with design or development tools (e.g., Figma) is a plus, but not required.

Yes. All applicants must complete an aptitude and English proficiency test. Interviews may be conducted for borderline cases or as part of the assessment process.

The first intake begins on 2 May 2025. We aim to run bootcamps on a quarterly basis, depending on demand. Register your interest on our website to stay updated.

Yes, you can enroll in multiple bootcamps, either consecutively or at a later time, depending on availability and your learning goals.

Yes. Regular feedback is provided on assignments, projects, and overall progress to support your learning journey.

Each bootcamp focuses on a specific track such as AI & ML or UI/UX Design. Topics are tailored to industry needs and can be found on the official website.

Bootcamps last one month, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM (MYT). Weekend assignments are also part of the program due to its intensive nature.

All bootcamps are conducted online, enabling global access. However, future on-site programs and courses may be introduced.

Participants must have:
A laptop/notebook with minimum 8GB RAM, multi-core processor, and SSD storage.
High-speed internet connection.
Ability to purchase and install required software (e.g., Figma, coding platforms).

Note: Licenses are not provided.

Yes. Participants must complete a final assessment and project to receive certification.

Certificate of Completion: For participants meeting minimum attendance and assessment scores.

Certificate of Excellence: For those who demonstrate exceptional performance, creativity, and contribution.

Yes, participation in the IIP is optional. Some participants may secure jobs independently after completing the bootcamp.

Yes. A dedicated Industry Immersion Certificate will be awarded to participants who complete the IIP successfully.

Placement is based on bootcamp performance, project alignment, and availability of partners. While preferences may be considered, final placements are determined by SOC in coordination with partners.

No long-term contract is required. However, partners may offer full-time roles to top-performing apprentices at the end of the program.

The Industry Immersion Program (IIP) is a 4-month post-bootcamp apprenticeship available only to Malaysian citizens aged 18–30. It includes:
3 months of hybrid on-the-job training at SOC (on-site and remote).
1 month of industry placement with registered Industry Alliance Partners (IAP).

The program is conducted in association with Stratagile Group, Kr8iv Group, Handal Lestari, and EduCity Iskandar Malaysia, under the Khazanah K-Youth Development Programme—a youth employability initiative to build future-ready tech talent.

You must:
Be a Malaysian citizen.
Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of IIP commencement.
Hold at least an SPM, diploma, or degree from a recognized institution.
Be unemployed for at least one month before the IIP (the bootcamp duration counts toward this).
Demonstrate strong performance during the bootcamp and final assessments.

Yes. On-the-job training salaries:
SPM Holders: RM1,800.00
Diploma Holders: RM2,000.00
Degree Holders: RM2,500.00

Our Industry Alliance Partners include corporate companies and GLCs offering real-world project exposure. Exceptional apprentices may be offered full-time roles. Those not absorbed will be supported with further placement opportunities through SOC.

Yes. Toward the end of the third month of the IIP, participants will take part in a pitching session where they present their final project and work done during the program. This session will be attended by representatives from our Industry Alliance Partners either on-site at SOC or virtually. It provides participants a valuable opportunity to showcase their talent and boost their employment chances.

Participants joining the hybrid IIP may request assistance in sourcing accommodation near the School of Codes in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia. However, all arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the participant.

We highly recommend using a laptop or desktop that meets our minimum specifications. Tablets and Chromebooks are generally not suitable for the software and tools used during the program.

While SOC cannot provide replacement hardware, we understand that technical issues happen. Flexibility may be offered on a case-by-case basis.

You’ll need a laptop or PC with:

No. Participants must purchase and manage their own software.

Our refund policy will be clearly communicated upon registration. Generally, partial refunds may be available if withdrawal occurs before the start date.

No. However, you are responsible for personal expenses such as internet, computer hardware, and software licenses.

Yes. The fee is:
RM1,800.00 for Malaysian citizens
USD 450 for international applicants
